Information We Collect

When you read listandjoy.com, our host and any analytics provider we use may log technical details of the request — IP address, user agent, referring URL, pages and timestamps. • Because this site covers Listandjoy, one point deserves its own sentence — we ask readers not to send us sensitive personal details, and we delete rather than retain anything of that kind that reaches us unprompted.

Mailing List

We use confirmed (double) opt-in for the mailing list, so nobody is subscribed by mistake or by someone else. Unsubscribe links and our postal address appear in every email, and we do not sell or rent the list.

How Long, and How Protected

We do not keep data indefinitely. Analytics expires per the provider’s policy, newsletter data ends when you unsubscribe, comment data ends when the comment goes. Security measures are proportionate: limited access, encrypted connections, and prompt removal of anything not needed. Absolute security is not something any site can promise.

Outside Processors

We rely on third parties for infrastructure and measurement: a host, a content-delivery layer, potentially an analytics provider, an email service for the newsletter, and advertising partners where advertising is served. Some are processors acting on our instruction; some, particularly advertising and analytics vendors, act as independent controllers under their own terms.

Why We Hold It

The information is used to keep the site working, to understand which of our guides, comparisons and reference pages are actually read, to send the newsletter to people who asked for it, and — where advertising is served — to support that advertising.

Age and This Site

Listandjoy is not aimed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13, or under 16 where that is the applicable age. We do not knowingly gather information from children, and anything of that kind that reaches us is deleted.

Control You Have

Whichever framework applies to you — UK/EU GDPR, California’s CCPA/CPRA, or another US state law — you can generally request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your data, object to particular uses, and opt out of sale or sharing for advertising.
